With the Football World Cup has started, Junction 9 Records, Fiasco London and House of Clubs Management have joined forces and are entering into the spirit of "The Beautiful Game" by producing a one off single entitled
Sweet England ...and it's all for charity!
Sweet England is a derivative of Eric Coates' "Dambusters March" from the 1955 film, "The Dambusters". The track will not be on general release and will only be available via the "Sweet England" micro site, where it will retail for £1. As well as being able to purchase the track from the micro site, visitors will be able to donate directly to either a chosen charity or all three.
Sweet England has been produced by Ben Robbins (Katherine Jenkins' album "Premiere"). The vocals are provided by The Combover Band and friends.
The beauty of Sweet England is three fold:
Sweet England is not a remake of a World Cup anthem past
Sweet England is not a spoken word cop-out
All profits from sales of Sweet England will be donated to charity
